The UK Radio Production Conference

Now in its 3rd year, the RPIN 2011 - The UK Radio Production Conference focus this year is on how to create a world market for quality radio programmes - and with this in mind there are expecting speakers from all over the world. They've already secured the Head of RTE Radio in Ireland who will be talking about how Irish radio networks are now looking to work with producers and independent production companies here in the UK.  The event takes place on March 22ndopposite Media CityUK.

As well as the international focus, it'll be celebrating UK indie production, there'll be commissioners from the main BBC national networks and ILR and also information about the BBC's Innovation Fund. And of course it's a great place to network as well !!

For those in the North West, there's a limited number of subsidised tickets (£45 plus VAT) available courtesy of support from Vision and Media.  To find out if you're eligible (and you should be if you're a freelancer/indie or self employed producer/journo/creative living and working in the North

West) http://www.eventelephant.com/RPIN2011/pages/DelegateFees.htm

Be aware though that tickets are selling fast!!

For those not eligible for the discount, the early bird ticket of £85 plus VAT is still available, but again they are going fast. Remember this is one of the most reasonably priced media conferences around! Here's the link to the main conference site http://www.eventelephant.com/RPIN2011

If you live further afield, please let Ashley Byrne know if you intend to come, because he hopes soon to secure a Conference Hotel with reasonable rates - where extra events may be hosted.

If you're from an indie, he'll also be asking for audio as part of a special showcase of UK production at some point too.

Any problems with registering, please let Ashley know.
